Diagnostic audiological evaluations

We always start with a full and thorough evaluation of your overall hearing health. This includes a physical examination of your ears and a diagnostic hearing test, all so we can properly determine how well you are hearing your surroundings as well as how you are understanding speech.

Communication needs assessment

Once we determine the type and degree of your hearing loss, we will have a detailed discussion to assess where you are struggling and where you hope to gain improvements. We’ll educate you about your hearing system and review all the options that are at your disposal.

Hearing aid fitting and programming

If hearing aids are the best option for improving your hearing, we will review your options and ensure you have the best possible hearing aids to match your hearing goals. We’ll teach you how to properly care for your hearing aids and confirm that you are comfortable and confident with their use.

Continuing care

Better hearing is not a one-day event, and neither is our service. We’ve heard stories. Patients are sold hearing aids and sent on their way. But what if minor adjustments are needed? What if a patient has questions? Or a little practice would be helpful, cleaning the aids, connecting them to devices through Bluetooth? As you acclimate to life with your new hearing aids, we want to make sure you are successful. We work with you every step on the way. We want to make hearing aids an unobtrusive ally in your relationship life.

Aural rehabilitation

We will develop and implement a customized rehabilitation plan. Your plan will be unique based on your priorities, and it may include listening exercises, the use of a special microphone, connecting your hearing aids directly to your cell phone, or sessions with you and your spouse.
